Taco Vegana was a vision brought to life by Milton and Rachel Rodriguez. Milton was born and raised in Baja, Mexico while Rachel is a Virginia native. Growing up in Mexico, food was always a central part of Milton's life. From making homemade tortillas and tamales from scratch in the kitchen with his Abuela, to eating street tacos with his friends, this food was an integral part of his culture.
After Rachel and Milton got married, they moved to Richmond to be closer to family. These long-time vegans spent a lot of time at home veganizing the foods that Milton grew up eating, and decided to share these creations with their community in Richmond!
We are busy in the planning and creation mode. We are hoping to open our doors in 2024. More updates to come!
You can expect a 100% plant based menu featuring traditional Mexican dishes, some with a twist: street tacos, carne asada fries, pambazos, breakfast tacos, and more!
